Heritage...Something you absolutely cannot change.

I'm thankful that my daughter has the privilege to attend school on a reservation. People normally frown upon this thought b/c of stereotype but honestly I don't care : )
Even though it's not her tribe and her roots are from Oklahoma. I smile at the thought that my daughter being a 4th generation Seminole Indian knows what a NATIVE AMERICAN is. She understands that we have a culture all our own and she's learning who we are as a whole. I hear my dad say a lot we're losing our culture by the generations and it makes me proud that she is surrounded by Quiluete's that keep theirs alive. Which brings me to another thankful thought.

Thanks mom and dad for keeping our culture alive. I'm thankful that I got to hear my grandma speak creek fluently and I'm thankful for my aunts, uncles, and many cousins that are proud of who we are : ) I'm thankful that my mom was never ashamed to be a Seminole and my dad exposed us to all things Native! I wouldn't want to be anything else in the whole world<3
