My Obi is growing so fast too fast.
I daydream a a lot about the moments when our children are self sufficient in the dependency department. As I'm sure all mothers have in the infant years. Me and michael joke of when our youngest turns 18 we'll still be young enough to physically enjoy our vacations ALONE! Despite our humor of waiting for the day our nest is empty we both know we love our full nest right now. These years will be memories one day and watching our (officially) last baby grow is bittersweet. We know by that time we'll probably want all 3 of them to join us on vacation. Oh how time flies by...and oh how different the route is from your very first baby to the last.
''I stopped in the middle of my chaotic duties
rocked you to sleep and stared at your beauty
we sat there on the chair as you drifted to sleep
counted your lashes and held your little feet
took a deep breath and took it all in
knowing these moments always come to an end
I'll gladly welcome your little handprints
on my once clean window
because only mommies know how fast babies grow.''
